Home Instead Senior Care provides services that will allow seniors to remain at home for as long as possible, wherever home may be. We provide companionship, bathing, grooming, Alzheimer’s care, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, medication reminders, errands and surgical companion. Our CAREGivers are screened and bonded. We provide an extensive education at hire and continue the education through quarterly meetings. We provide services for as little as six hours per week to 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

The Institute of Gerontology at Wayne State is one of the top five research
centers for gerontology in the country. Its diverse faculty trains students
and conducts research in gerontology, defined as the social, psychological
and biological processes of aging. Recent research projects have focused
on the interplay between aging and Alzheimer’s disease, dementia,
depression, hormone function, brain changes, homelessness and disability.
The Institute's four-fold mission is to improve the community's health
through research, to educate tomorrow's leaders in aging, to share timely
information with seniors through outreach programs, and to partner with
a wide array of community organizations and businesses to build and sustain
programs.
