HELP WITH AGING DISABILITIES AND DEALING WITH DAILY LIVING SITUATIONS

(Birmingham, MI)—Lynn Alexander, known as the “Your Aging Well Advisor” will offer people suggestions on how to deal with disabilities of aging and help with their daily living situations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 23, at the Southeast Michigan Post-Polio Support Group at the First Presbyterian Church, 4328 Livernois, Troy.

Your Aging Well Advisor is a consulting and public speaking firm whose mission is to educate consumers on resources and strategies for aging well.

President and CEO Lynn Alexander is an entertaining and knowledgeable speaker on issues and trends facing the 50+ consumer as well as their employers, vendors, caregivers and families. She also provides project management and strategic planning to a variety of organizations.

She is a former State Commissioner for Services to the Aging in Michigan and former Director of the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging. Ms. Alexander was instrumental in the development of a highly successful long-term care education campaign and the creation of a long-term care insurance benefit for State of Michigan employees, their parents and grandparents. For the first time in its history OSA provided healthy aging programs for the 50+ in age. During her tenure the State of Michigan earmarked unprecedented funding for refurbishing senior centers and adult day care facilities.
